- CIMBUX contributed to the yearly Emancipation activities in Buxton/Friendship.
- Organized the Social Development Committee in Buxton which coordinated many village activities. (see Buxton in Print & Memory by Eusi Kwayana).
- Gave monetary scholarships yearly to students for their outstanding performance at the SSEE Examinations based on scores attained. At first, we started with 5 year scholarships disbursements to students and after several years changed it to yearly, with a top student award. These are still in force.
- Conducted a tutoring program in Buxton where we paid teachers to tutor students for the SSEE exams. This program resulted, in part, from a “Needs Assessment” of schools in the Buxton area, carried out by Mrs. Barbara Thomas-Holder with a group of her students from the University of Guyana (UG) specializing in Social Work, based on the directive of Cimbux Education Chairperson Hazel Azore.
- Established scholarships for UG, GTI and Carnegie.
- Stephenson scholarship in Accounting from UG, GTI.
- Errol (Bonehead) scholarship in Engineering from USA.
- Yvonne Levi-Easton scholarship in Culinary Arts.
- Presented the DOT Stephenson scholarship in Culinary Arts (Carnegie recipient)
- Collaborated in the organizing of the renovation of The Buxton Clinic with Jay Bee’s Medical International, in its early stages (2003-2004).
- Started the Burial Society revival a few years ago (2001-2002) with the view to rebuilding Tipperary Hall, with the assistance of the late Ms. Myrtlene Monroe-Foster, the then only surviving member of the “ Buxton & Friendship Burial and Benevolent Society”. This effort was undertaken along with other villagers in co-operation with the Registrar of Societies. However, CIMBUX, INC. was not able to complete the legal work as planned due to unforeseen circumstances. This project was later taken up by a group of villagers and completed with Government assistance.
- Sponsors Annual Scholarships for Common Entrance students who passed the SSEE, now called The National Grade Six Assessment, with a Top Student Award and a Top School Award.
- Launched an Annual USA Scholarship Award to a high school student seeking post-secondary education.
- Donated sports equipment including soccer balls, tennis balls, racquets and trophies to clubs in Buxton.
- Contributed to the Lesson Place and the Feeding Program at Lessons Place in Buxton.
- Sponsored book launchings and signings in the United States of America.
- Sponsors Free Annual Family Fun Day in the park for members and friends; this activity provides an opportunity for young and old to interact culturally.
- Sponsored and co-sponsored cultural variety shows with signature programs.
- Sponsored our “ First Cultural Extravaganza” in 2005, featuring “Log Gaff” – an idea presented and coordinated by Keith Easton, written and directed by Kwesi Oginga, with main play by Eusi Kwayana featuring many village stalwarts along with, Dr. David Hinds, Patrick Bathersfield (Evergreen Productions), Dr. Clayton Bacchus and Keith Easton.Main characters : Kwesi Oginga, Oscar Henry (Joe Phil) with Jude Greene stage Manager.Cast :CIMBUX, INC., Inc. members and supporters. Drumming by Mboya Wood & Mr. Wicklyff Wallace.
- In 2009 “ Come Walk With Me” an evening of Cultural Excellence, coordinated by Horace Azore.
- Another significant play in 2011, “This Fish is Sweet” was written by Kwesi Oginga with collaborative ideas from Horace Azore, Jude Greene, Keith Easton and cast featuring, acclaimed actor Beverly Hinds, Andre Cadogan, Jude Greene , Keith Easton and Horace Azore.
- Honors individuals for outstanding contributions to Buxton/Friendship in the areas of Community Work, Education, Social, Entrepreneurship and Medical Services at our Biennial Reunions.
- Co-sponsored an Annual Memorial Dance with Errol “Bonehead” Bathersfield before assuming full sponsorship of this event which is held annually in Maryland.
- Conducts the CIMBUX, INC., Inc, Annual Souse Party at the Greene’s residence in Washington, DC. U.S.A.
- Convened a Buxton Organizations Summit – November 2003 & 2004 (which included COTAB, BESAC and CIMBUX, INC., Inc.) in New York and Maryland.
- Contributed to the Flood disaster with barrels of food and clothing distributed to villagers.
- Donated books and supplies to all schools in Buxton – 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014.
- Publishes “ BUXTON PRIDE”, our newsletter on CIMBUX, INC.’s activities and community news in Buxton and the United States of America.
- Issued joint Press Release with BESAC in New York and COTAB in Canada on the crime situation and killings as they affected the villages.
- Donated three barrels text books to the Village Library.
- Contributes Annually to the Elders feeding program, sponsored by Jay bees International/ George Abrams in Buxton, Guyana.
- Contributes to Buxton Mash sponsored by the Spice Girls. ( Harvey sisters, Lavern & Lynette.)
- Contributes to “The First of August Emancipation” celebrations in Buxton/ Friendship annually.
- Handed out a one year Scholarship to U.W.I. law Student for the Errol Bonehead Scholarship.
- Recently established scholarships for students, in the Allied Health Fields.
- Sponsored “1st Economic Development Seminar” in Buxton/ Friendship in June 2014.
- Handed out the Booker- Stephenson scholarships to students in the Medical field attending University of Guyana and Greenheart Medical University in Guyana. The Stephenson Scholarships for Business students attending the University of Guyana and the Government Technical Institute. These scholarships were set up by Aubrey Stephenson, in recognition of his father Frank Stephenson, whose passion was accounting and business.
- Co- sponsored Children Art Exhibition in Buxton/Friendship in 2014.
